I noticed the "Featured Listings" on the demo front page are randomized upon page load/refresh.

Assuming all the Listings are of the same Product type, is there a way to "randomize" the results of a Category page like it does with that "Featured Listings" widget on the front page? To further clarify, if I'm browsing the Restaurants category, I know I can have my top tier businesses showing first, but can the rest of the listings that follow appear in random order?  

Reason being, if I have 20 listings in a Category, I don't like that the same business is listed on the front page. They're essentially getting "Platinum" status for free. If the listings show up randomly, I have a much easier time convincing a listing owner to upgrade if he can see he's not at the top of the page already.

A randomization feature either as a Category or Product type would be nice, and if this already exists, please let me know how I can set this up in the demo.

Also, I'm familiar enough with PHP/MySQL to use a sort function on results of a database query, so if this feature doesn't exist, my other question is: Are the PHP files to edit the results of this query obfuscated or will I have access so that I can implement this myself? Or, what would it cost to have done by your team?

listings that appear in the 'Listing Search Results' widget can not be "randomized", they can appear in alphabetical, most visited, highest rated, by distance and by relevance order.

The best option for you is to set the listing position for each listing product that will allow you to place more expensive membership listings above the rest in the search results.

These scripts are not obfuscated and can be easily modified.
