Beginning with Plesk Obsidian version 18.0.49, you can install and enable the ionCube Loader for PHP provided by Plesk as follows:

  • Log in to your Plesk account.
  • Navigate to Tools & Settings - General Settings - PHP Settings - PHP 8.1 - Manage PECL Packages.
  • In the search bar, type "ioncube" and locate "ioncube_loader". Install "ioncube_loader" by clicking the plus (+) button next to it.
  • Navigate to Tools & Settings - PHP Settings. Click on the handler for the required PHP version (e.g., PHP 8.1). Enable the ioncube_loader_lin_X.X extension.
