My hosting provider offers php 8 as an option. Does phpListings support it?

we recommend using the latest stable release of PHP 7.4. Please expect 100% PHP 8 support in the upcoming version of the software.

the phpListings code is 100% compatible with PHP 8.0 and 8.1 but we are waiting for IonCube to release loaders that support these versions (as stated in the manual and on the pricing page, some of the phpListings scripts are encoded with IonCube encoder for licensing purposes).

We are constantly checking their website and their community forums for news and updates and will release a PHP 8.x compatible version as soon as  the aforementioned loaders become available.
